Center Pipe

Share:

The center pipe (or inner screen) serves as the core filtration component in radial flow reactors. This cylindrical assembly defines the inner boundary of the catalyst bed and facilitates uniform fluid collection or distribution within vertical reactor systems.

The center pipe connects through either upper or lower nozzles, supporting both inward and outward flow directions. Designed for installation through vessel top manways, it is secured by dedicated support structures. Its central positioning places it within the high-temperature, high-concentration process zone, effectively reducing thermal stress on the vessel shell while providing ample axial expansion capacity.
